The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is kindly request you to submit your Proposal for “Implementing Partner for the UNDP’s Resilient Livelihood Restoration and Recovery Project for the typhoon Vamco/Ulysses – Province of Cagayan”.
The UNDP, working with the provincial government and the affected LGUs on livelihood restoration and recovery, shall provide support in addressing the immediate, medium, and long-term interventions towards economic resiliency through the Typhoon Vamco/Ulysses Resilient Livelihood Restoration and Recovery Project for Cagayan Province. This project aims to support priority most-affected households to restart their livelihoods, targeting over 500 women micro-entrepreneurs and persons-with-disabilities.
Funding Information
- Proposals amount should be maximum of USD 80,000 (equivalent Peso) for Cagayan Province.
- Project implementation must not exceed the duration of 5 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligibility and Qualifications of the NGO/CSO:
- Geographical Access to Beneficiaries. NGO should be in close proximity to all the areas/LGUs or have presence/networks in the covered areas by the Project;
- Prominent player in the development community as shown in their organizational documents;
- Track record in developing innovative solutions and methodologies;
- Key leadership role in resolving development issues;
- Experience in providing technical support to the micro-enterprise sector in Albay;
- Experience in managing cash disbursement projects;
- Completed at least three (3) projects related micro-enterprise assistance in post-disaster context in the last five (5) years;
- Functional expertise in the following:
- Design, implementation, management, M&E, and learning/documentation of micro-enterprise projects with savings component in post-disaster context
- Has proven track record and capacity to sustain Project interventions beyond the UNDP partnership
- Well-connected with other key development players in the province to be able to provide comprehensive assistance at the family level; and
- Partnership with the province and LGUs as elaborated in their organizational documents, i.e., brochures, and upon validation with the province and LGUs.
- Project Coordinator – to provide coordination work to the different community volunteers in the targeted areas for the requirement. The coordinator will also serve as the overall project manager of the project who will manage and supervise the implementation of the project. The following are the minimum requirement and competencies of this post:
- With a bachelor’s degree on any relevant course;
- Minimum of five (5) years of work experience in the field of project coordination, implementation, management, monitoring and reporting; and,
- At least 2 years’ experience in community organizing or in the field of community development.
