In the context of the UN Partnership for Action on Green Economy (UN PAGE), the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) has launched a call for proposals to develop a stocktaking study in Guatemala.
One of the initial activities of PAGE in Guatemala involves the development of a inventory study on green economy initiatives providing the basis necessary for the understanding of plans, policies, projects, programs and key institutional and non-institutional actors that exist. In this way will ensure that PAGE support is based on and aligned with such initiatives. The Inventory is standard practice for PAGE in all countries and helps improve collaboration and coordination of the transition of the green economy of Guatemala, integrated into national policy processes and the vision of development of the country.
The objective of this call for proposals is to develop of a national inventory report on inclusive green economy, and is particularly aimed at not-for-profit institutions and consultants (individuals or collectives), preferably in the country.

Funding Information
AGE will provide a subsidy of max. 18,000 USD according to the provider profile associate and the final list of tasks. In addition, PAGE offers:
- The substantive knowledge of PAGE partners on issues of sustainability and the experience of other partner countries;
- Access to a global network of institutions and agents committed to 2030 Agenda and the SDGs.
Recommendation
- Prioritize economic sectors and thematic areas for participation PAGE Guatemala, taking into account environmental aspects, economic and social, its alignment with / contribution to the SDGs (in particularly the objectives of SDGs 8, 9, 12, 13 and 17) and the NDC, as well as the work of other institutions with complementary mandates.
- Propose a list of the main national stakeholders and international organizations that are essential to achieve a transformation systemic towards the green economy. Outline the possible mechanisms of national coordination that could guide the intervention of PAGE and the links to the SDGs as well as change coordination mechanisms climate.
- Propose steps to identify models, tools and methodologies that can be used to provide assessments additional green economy opportunities. This may include tools for investment analysis, the mitigation potential of
GHG, the evaluation of the impacts of green economy policies on key economic sectors.
