United States: COVID-19 Response Fund Grants Program

Emerging Priorities Program in the Australia

Deadline: 7-Jun-21

Foundation for the Carolinas is currently accepting applications for the COVID-19 Response Fund Grants Program to support local artists or providing assistance to employees facing hardship, the neighbors, business community, local leaders and many others demonstrated exceptional generosity.

The fund supports a range of nonprofits assisting the people most affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Importantly, this fund will help not just those who get sick but also those who are economically impacted.

The COVID-19 Response Fund is administered through a partnership between the Foundation and United Way. A grants committee has been established to review and distribute grants from the fund. The committee is made up of 17 local leaders representing a diversity of business sectors, backgrounds and Mecklenburg County geographic locations.

Grants will be made to organizations that provide safety net services such as housing/shelter, food and emergency financial assistance, including rent and utility assistance. Strong preference will be given to grassroots and/or neighborhood-based organizations with budgets less than $1 million.
