The Miami Climate Alliance is now inviting applications for its Rapid Response Grant to support critical on-the-ground efforts to achieve climate justice in Florida.
Priority will be placed on grassroots initiatives, as well as supporting women, non-binary, and BIPOC leadership. In addition, these funds will go to Florida-based organizations, with budgets at or less than $250,000, working with primarily low-income or BIPOC communities in Florida.
2022 State Priorities
- Democracy: Promote meaningful community engagement and participatory governance. Achieve transformational change by uplifting communities through outreach, education and the arts.
- Economy: Advance equitable climate disaster planning, response & recovery
- Energy: Transition to a just economy built on renewable energy, regenerative agriculture, resilience, protection of land, divestment from the fossil fuel economy and equitable benefits for all.
- Labor: Protect workers, increase opportunity, and democratize the workplace.
- Land: Respect indigenous sovereignty, advance food sovereignty and build a just housing system, food system and ecosystem.
- Transformation: In the process of achieving these goals, they transform ourselves and work in right relationships with each other and Mother Earth.

- They are accepting applications for 501c3 or fiscally-sponsored organizations.
