UNOPS Call for Proposals to enhance Coastal Resilience in Kiribati ($80,000)

Deadline: 20-Nov-23

The Government of Australia, represented by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), executed a grant agreement, the Australia Kiribati Climate Security Initiative (AKSI), to address the need for practical and sustainable solutions to enhance coastal resilience in Kiribati.

The objective of this project is to implement high-quality, GEDSI-sensitive, inclusive, and resilient coastal protection solutions, across three sites, to improve the resilience of Kiribati to the impacts of climate change. The project will also build the capacity of the Government of Kiribati in planning and implementing sustainable coastal protection solutions thus introducing pathways between climate resilience, coastal adaptation, community resilience, and protection against sea level rise.
