The Virginia Humanities is currently seeking applications for its Regular Grants.
The grants support projects that explore the stories of Virginia—its history, people, communities, and cultural traditions—as well as issues and questions that impact the lives of Virginians in the present day.
They have recently restructured the grantmaking process—although not its goals and focus—which are to engage and support non-profit organizations throughout the Commonwealth in developing and delivering excellent humanities-based cultural programming.
Funding Information
- Applicants can request a grant award up to $5,000.
- This Grant Opportunity is designed for funding requests of between $5,000 and $20,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Non-profits recognized 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service
- 501(c)(3) institutions of higher education
- Other not-for-profit LLC organizations as designated by the IRS
- Federally recognized Native American tribal governments
