The Greater New Orleans Foundation (GNOF) is seeking applications for Hancock Whitney Opportunity Grant Program from eligible 501(c)(3) organizations that promote financial health and wellness or affordable housing to underserved communities located within Hancock Whitney service areas.
Funding Information
- Funding for the 2021 Hancock Whitney Opportunity Grants total $400,000 with $200,000 designated for organizations serving Hurricane Ida impacted communities.
- Digitally for competitive grants of up to $25,000 through the Greater New Orleans Foundation.
Eligible Programs
Examples of eligible programs include the following:
- financial education programs
- workforce development
- first time home buyer programs
- asset builder programs
- Hurricane Ida related housing rehabilitation.
Eligibility Criteria
- Hancock Whitney will consider grant requests from eligible 501(c)(3) organizations that promote financial health and wellness or affordable housing to underserved communities located within Hancock Whitney service areas in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas may apply.
- Eligible organizations working with community members to enhance financial sustainability or increase homeownership, along with organizations working to preserve affordable housing in Hurricane Ida impacted areas are encouraged to apply.
- Special consideration will be given to organizations servicing federally declared Hurricane IDA impacted communities through financial recovery and housing rehabilitation.
