The Lily Auchincloss Foundation’s Human Services Grants Program is open to organizations whose mission and programs serve New York City residents for prevention, change, and education for the improvement of their quality of life.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must Support Arts, Environmental, Or Human Services
- The foundation supports arts, preservation and community programs which serve to enrich the lives of the people of New York City.
- For the arts, the foundation supports the visual arts, theater, music, and arts education. The foundation does not support dance at this time.
- For environmental, the foundation supports the preservation of the history of New York City, parks, gardens, and environmental education.
- For human services, the foundation supports programs for New York City residents for prevention, change, and education for the improvement of their quality of life.
- The foundation does not support research projects, mental health programs, medical services, hospitals, nursing homes, substance abuse programs, universities, or schools (public, private or charter schools).
- For educational organizations, apply under one of the other categories based on the organization’s mission and program content.
- 501(C) 3 organizations only
- The Foundation funds only 501(c)3 organizations located within the five boroughs of New York City.
- Must Be in One of Nyc’s 5 Boroughs
- The foundation does not award grants to individuals or programs for New York City residents outside of the five boroughs.
- No Fiscal Sponsor or Pending Tax-Exempt Status
- The foundation cannot accept applications from organizations with a fiscal sponsor or whose tax-exempt status is pending.
- Must Have IRS Determination Letter
- Organizations applying for a grant must have received an IRS determination letter.
