US: Queens Council on the Arts’ Arts Access Grant Program

Small Investment Program in Canada

Deadline: 15-Feb-22

The Queens Council on the Arts is seeking applications for the Arts Access Grant Program to support community-based organizations and collectives in their efforts to produce public arts and cultural programs that bolster the cultural vibrancy of the Queens communities and neighborhoods where they are located and operate.

Arts Access Grants offer project-based financial support for Queens small-budget 501c3 nonprofit organizations or organizations without nonprofit status and unincorporated artist collectives applying with a NYC-based fiscal sponsor.

Priority is given to organizations that have limited access to existing funding sources, whose primary mission is to produce cultural activities that center under-resourced communities, and / or preserve cultural traditions or produce contemporary creative expression of cultural ethnicity.

Proposed projects must include a public component that takes place in Queens within the 2022 calendar year and provides Queens community members with the opportunity to experience dynamic, easily accessible arts and cultural events. Projects with public components that are culturally relevant, free or sliding-scale, and in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act will be prioritized.

Funding Information

Applicants may submit grant requests for $ 1,000 to $ 5,000.
