The Sarcoxie Community Foundation is inviting applications for its Affiliate Educator & Community Grantmaking Program to improve the quality of life for individuals in Sarcoxie through thoughtful grantmaking and community leadership.
The Sarcoxie Community Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors, chosen for their knowledge of the area. Grant decisions are made by the grant committee.
The unique role of a community foundation is to conduct a flexible community grantmaking program which addresses the most important needs of the community at any one time. The flexibility this requires is made possible by charitable donors who established unrestricted or field-of-interest funds and place the decision-making in the hands of the community leaders serving on their Board of Directors as well as dollars raised by the Sarcoxie Community Foundation.
Funding Information
For this funding cycle, there is $5,000 maximum available for educator grants ($1,000 maximum per program) and $5,000 available for community grants ($2,500 maximum per program/organization).
Eligibility Criteria
- Grant proposals are accepted according to an announced time table, and grant recommendations are made as funds are available.
- 501(c) 3 organizations or other IRS approved entities (government entities, school districts and churches) serving Sarcoxie are eligible to apply.
- Applicants who serve Sarcoxie are encouraged to apply.
- Grants will be presented at Chief Sarcoxie Days on September 10 at 11:45 am
