US: Violence Against Women and Substance Use Prevention Initiative

The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH) and Office on Women’s Health (OWH) are inviting applications that create a statewide pilot project to train substance use disorder (SUD) treatment providers on intimate partner violence (IPV) and address the intersection of IPV and SUD during the pregnancy and postpartum period.

The Violence Against Women and Substance Use Prevention Initiative will involve a collaboration between OWH and the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) Family Violence Prevention and Services Program. ACF will provide technical advice to OWH but will not provide funding or make awards under this initiative.

OWH expects recipients of awards under this initiative to develop a statewide pilot project that includes partnerships with domestic and sexual violence organizations at the state and local level and that will:
