Call for EOI: Step-up the fight against Malaria through Community-Based Approaches

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications for a cooperative agreement from qualified entities to implement the Advancing Health and Malaria Services in Niger.

The purpose of the USAID/Niger “Advancing Health and Malaria Services” project is to increase the coverage and use of key life-saving malaria interventions in support of Niger’s National Malaria Strategic Plan (NMSP) and to build the human resources capacity of the national malaria control program (NMCP). This project will programmatically complement other maternal and child health (MCH) and reproductive health/family planning (RH/FP) interventions to make a comprehensive package of primary health care.

In line with the 2021-2026 PMI Strategy, activities will aim to improve health outcomes and reduce malaria mortality and morbidity by focusing on the following strategic areas:

Geographic Coverage 

Niger is divided into eight regions and 72 health districts. PMI currently supports 21 health districts in two regions for service delivery including iCCM, case management, MIP, SMC, supportive supervision, and training. Below is a map of the repartition of the health regions and health districts currently supported by PMI, the Global Fund and other partners. The project will support implementation in two regions.
