USAID-Harare announces Promoting Constitutionalism Activity

Stronger Sector Funding Programme – United Kingdom

Deadline: 2-Jun-21

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications for a Cooperative Agreement from qualified entities to implement the Promoting Constitutionalism Activity.

The goal of this activity is to foster a culture of rule of law and respect for and implementation of the Constitution and the rights therein. Various scholars have defined constitutionalism broadly as a system of governance under which the power of the government is limited by the rule of law. Constitutionalism recognizes the need to curtail power to protect the rights of groups and individuals. The Constitution is the foundational document for how government is structured and functions and becomes the standard by which all laws, policies, and practices are measured in order to sustain a free, democratic society.
