The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications for a cooperative agreement from qualified entities to implement the Conservation Works activity.
The purpose of the USAID Conservation Works (CW) activity is to conserve threatened and endangered species, especially western chimpanzees, by strengthening Protected Areas (PA) and helping communities be less reliant on protected resources for their livelihoods.
The goal of the CW activity will be to conserve biodiversity while increasing sustainable economic growth and it is expected to be achieved by:
- strengthening protection and management for existing PAs and Proposed Protected Areas (PPA) landscapes and
- increasing sustainable economic growth in targeted PPA and PA landscapes.
The majority of the CW efforts will be focused on targeted landscapes within Liberia.
Funding Information
USAID intends to award one Cooperative Agreement pursuant to this notice of funding opportunity. Subject to funding availability and at the discretion of the Agency, USAID intends to provide $19,500,000 in total USAID funding over a five-year period.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligibility for this NOFO is not restricted.
- USAID welcomes applications from organizations that have not previously received financial assistance from USAID.
