Marginalized Groups Support Program (USAID / PPMG) is currently inviting all local government units in Bosnia and Herzegovina to submit an application to the Public Invitation to support the implementation of the Support Program for marginalized groups of women in business development, who has been called by the US Agency for International Development.
Local government units apply for USAID / PPMG funds in an amount that will match by their invested funds in the Women’s Entrepreneurship Fund (for 1 KM allocated by the local unit self-government, USAID / PPMG will also allocate 1 KM).
USAID / PPMG announces a public invitation to local government units for expressing their interest in participating in the implementing programs to support the development of micro, small and medium enterprises as well as rural households women victims of violence, single mothers, unemployed young women under the age of 35, women with disabled or with a disabled child, and women who are otherwise marginalized by contributing the competitiveness of local economies and the creation of employment opportunities for hard-to-reach categories. USAID / PPMG and the local self-government unit will form an Entrepreneurship Fund with joint funds for women.
USAID / PPMG together with all selected local government units will prepare jointly a framework concept that will be used as a support model. After that, USAID / PPMG will support the units local self-government in the implementation of the defined model. In each of the local self-government units USAID / PPMG will hold workshops on writing business plans, how to fill in the application and instructions for the target group.
Criteria
Public invitation is open to all local government units in Bosnia and Herzegovina (JLS) which meet both of the following criteria:
- JLS will provide funds for the Women’s Entrepreneurship Fund in the same amount that it requires USAID / PPMG, with the amount of own participation, or the amount requested by USAID / PPMG at least 20,000 KM, and up to 100,000 KM .
- JLS is ready to apply a support model (developed earlier with other JLS in BiH, and which will be further enhanced), publish a public call for the specified target groups and provide budget funds for the Women’s Entrepreneurship Fund to support selected businesses in 2019 years.
