The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has announced the applications for SCORE Regional Parters Program to strengthen Sri Lankan-led efforts to advance social cohesion and reconciliation and support Sri Lankan-led efforts to build a more inclusive and resilient society.
SCORE is funded by the United States Agency for International Development and implemented by Global Communities in partnership with the Ministry of Justice, Government of Sri Lanka, as well as other government entities, civil society, and the private sector.
Objectives
SCORE is concentrating on three primary components with corresponding objectives as follows:
- Promote a cohesive Sri Lankan identity through governmental and non-governmental initiatives;
- Reduce socio-economic disparities by supporting sustainable economic development and service delivery among marginalized and conflict-affected communities and populations;
- Enhance community resilience through psychosocial support and capacity building.
Funding Information
- The ceiling for an award is US $25,000 per Prime applicant.
- SCORE will may make multiple awards under this RFA. However, all interested organizations are restricted to submitting only one (1) Concept Note as the Prime applicant.
- The period of performance for awards made under this RFA is three (3) to twelve (12) months from date the agreement is executed. It is up the to applicant to determine the time and resources required to successfully implement the proposed activity.
Geographic Focus
SCORE works in 37 GND across 10 districts in the Northern, Eastern, North Central, and Uva Provinces and throughout the three districts of Southern Province. Applicants must propose activities that take place in the target communities, with preference given to those that involve multiple GND or districts and bring together diverse ethno-religious and socio-economic populations.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered, applicants must be registered in Sri Lanka, formally constituted, recognized by and in good standing with the relevant Sri Lanka authorities and compliant with all applicable civil and fiscal regulations. Only not-for-profit entities are permitted to apply. Eligible entities may include foundations, non-governmental organizations, faith-based organizations, civil society organizations, community-based organizations, associations, and academic institutions. Individuals or unregistered, informal organizations, government entities, non-Sri Lankan or foreign organizations, political parties, or political party organizations are not eligible for awards under this RFA.
