USAID has launched a Call for Project The Increased Demand and Engagement for Accountability (IDEA) to empower people to participate, and advocate for inclusive and people-centered approaches to development. The Project is managed by by Management Systems International (MSI).

IDEA strives to integrate gender equality, youth, and diversity perspectives in its support. To achieve this, IDEA supports civil society organizations in Sri Lanka to be more effective in their development, advocacy, and outreach initiatives and their efforts to improve the enabling environment for their work. IDEA also strengthens the organizational capacity and sustainability of civil society organizations in the country.

Objectives

Through this NOFO, IDEA seeks to support civil society organizations’ work on:

  • Promoting efficient, transparent, inclusive and accountable governance;
  • Improving rights protection through stronger rule of law; and
  • improving women’s rights and gender equality.

Funding Information

  • Grants to be awarded under this NOFO may vary in size from USD 25,000 to a maximum of USD 90,000.
