USAID Supporting Livelihoods in Syria: Building Resiliency through Strengthened Food Security and Livelihood Opportunities

USAID: Inviting Organisations for Energy Utility Partnership Program (EUPP)

Deadline:  10 June 2017

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications from qualified U.S. and non U.S. organizations to fund a program entitled “Supporting Livelihoods in Syria” with an aim to combine humanitarian assistance and development approaches to build resiliency at the household and community levels in Syria through strengthened food security and livelihood opportunities.

Livelihoods programs can help to improve household-level food security, strengthen markets, re-establish essential economic governance functions, and generate employment. Awards resulting from this APS will strengthen resiliency through further enabling households and communities to improve their food security and livelihoods by offering targeted support to farmers, strengthening value chains and market linkages, and promoting urban/rural livelihoods opportunities with a direct link to food security.
