USAID/Afghanistan: Seeking Applications for Conflict Mitigation Assistance for Civilians (COMAC)

Rehabilitation and Reintegration of Returning Families of FTFs

Deadline: 1 November 2017

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Afghanistan is seeking applications for a cooperative agreement from qualified U.S. and Non-U.S. organizations to fund a program entitled “Conflict Mitigation Assistance for Civilians (COMAC).

COMAC is designed to strengthen the capacity of select line ministries, in particular MoLSAMD, to effectively address the grievances of civilian victims of conflicts, providing food and non-food immediate assistance. However, COMAC may also provide direct assistance to eligible individuals/families, such as physical rehabilitation, psychosocial counseling and the support of economic reintegration opportunities. This assistance will allow project beneficiaries to rebuild their lives in the aftermath of a conflict-related incident. COMAC will also increase beneficiaries’ knowledge of other victim assistance services, including assistance provided by national and international organizations and at the national and provincial levels within the Afghan government.
