USAID/Bangladesh: Strengthening Public Sector Maternal and Newborn Care

Commonwealth Secretary-General: Seeking Nominations for Innovation for Sustainable Development Awards

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID)/Bangladesh, Office of Population, Health, Nutrition, and Education has announced an Annual Program Statement (APS) for “Strengthening Public Sector Maternal and Newborn Care”.

Through this APS, USAID is soliciting concept notes that propose innovative approaches, such as eHealth and mHealth, to assist the Government of Bangladesh’s (GOB) public health system with its unfinished agenda for Ending Preventable Child and Maternal Deaths (EPCMD).  Emphasis will be on newborn care by scaling up proven approaches in the public sector.

Awards made through this APS should build on accomplishments to date toward achievement of the following three Intermediate Results (IRs):
