USAID/Mozambique: Communication For Improved Health Outcomes Activity

Peabody Community Fund in the UK

Deadline: 27 September 2016

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications from qualified U.S. and Non-U.S. organizations to fund a program entitled “Communication For Improved Health Outcomes (CIHO)” with an aim to increase the adoption of behaviors that promote health, prevent disease, and increase the utilization of health services, which contributes to USAID/Mozambique’s Development Objective of improving the health status of Mozambicans.

The Communication for Improved Health Outcomes Activity (CIHOP) will complement the existing efforts by the Government of the Republic of Mozambique (GRM) and development partners to expand access and improve the quality of health services in Sofala. CIHOP will improve Mozambique’s capacity to design, implement, and coordinate high-quality SBCC, allowing health promotion efforts to more effectively reduce morbidity and mortality caused by preventable diseases.

Funding Information: Subject to funding availability, USAID intends to provide $9,998,887 in total USAID funding over a four (4) year period.
