USAID’s Lebanon Investment Initiative (LII) Program

Lennie Cloud Fund for the Hearing Impaired Grant Program in the US

Deadline: 10 May 2019

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications for a cooperative agreement from qualified non-profit non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to implement the Lebanon Investment Initiative program.

The purpose of the Cooperative Agreement is to establish and capitalize the IME. Once the purpose of the Cooperative Agreement is completed, the function of LII will be to provide matching equity capital, partial investment insurance, and technical assistance to meet the needs of a range of Qualified Businesses who have limited access to equity financing and technical support. In order to develop and implement the initiative quickly and effectively, applicants should have a clear idea of how they will meet LII goals and objectives, cement valuable partnerships, and take advantage of opportunities in investment markets in Lebanon. LII will not be restricted by economic sector or by firm-specific requirements, although an effective, strategic, and scalable approach should evolve early during implementation that focuses on specific sectors/industries in order to better position them to become regional or even global hubs that continue to attract investment.
