The Missouri NRCS, an agency under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), is seeking opportunities to partner with, and support the efforts of, likeminded natural resource conservation partners.
The purpose of this announcement is to partner with and support the efforts of natural resource conservation partners and to promote public awareness and implementation of Farm Bill activities including, but not limited to, providing technical assistance, conducting conservation outreach workshops, conferences, and training, that will help educate Missouri’s farm community, private landowners, conservation organizations, cooperating agencies, and general citizenry.
Focus Areas
Conservation partners are invited to apply for NRCS assistance for the following opportunities:
- Farm Bill Outreach Workshops and/or Conferences and/or Virtual Learning
- Technical Workshops and/or Field Days with focus on
- Improve/adopt Soil Health Strategies,
- Native Plants and Native Plant Communities,
- Urban Agriculture, and/or
- Carbon Sequestration benefits and awareness
- Technical Assistance
- Grazing Land Conservation Initiative (GLCI)
- Enhance or expand climate data tools
Funding Information
- Estimated Funding: The total amount of Federal funding the agency expects to award through this opportunity is $750,000.
- Start Dates and Performance Periods: Projects may be between 1 and 3 years in duration.
- Number of Awards: The agency expects to make 10 award(s).
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants and applications must meet eligibility criteria by the application deadline to be considered for award. Eligible applicant type is determined by the implementing program statute. Applicant entities identified in the SAM.gov exclusions database as ineligible, prohibited/restricted, or excluded from receiving Federal contracts and certain Federal assistance and benefits will not be considered for Federal funding, as applicable to the funding being requested under this Federal program (2 CFR 200.206(d)).

- Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
- Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments)
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS (other than institutions of higher education)
- Nonprofits that do not have a 501 (c)(3) status with the IRS (other than institutions of higher education)
- Private institutions of higher education
- Public and State-controlled institutions of higher education
- Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities
- Special district governments
- State governments
