Voice is seeking applications for its Mali Influence Grant to target civil society organizations and networks to strengthen their capacity to lobby and advocate and to give voice to marginalized and discriminated groups.
All organizations, whether formal, platforms or civil society networks, may be eligible for Voice grants. Grants awarded by Voice should focus on the themes and objectives defined by Voice in Mali. A request is rejected if it does not sufficiently address one or more themes, does not benefit at least one of the Voice target groups, or does not focus on the context of Mali.
Funding Information
Influence subsidies at the national level range from 25 000 Euro to 200 000 Euro maximum.
Objectives
- Improved access to (productive) resources (e.g. finance, water and land) and employment
- Improved access to social services, health and education in particular
- Space for citizen participation and engagement
Target Groups
- People with disabilities
- Women at risk of exploitation, abuse and / or violence
- Vulnerable and age-discriminated groups, including young people and the elderly
Organizations proposing to work with two target groups as a consortium are strongly encouraged to submit a proposal. For example, local organizations that are experts in people with disabilities work with a women’s organization to integrate gender into their component.
Eligibility Criteria
- The organization, or the principal applicant for consortia, is a Malian local organization with a bank account number on its behalf.
- The applicant (and all co-applicants, in the case of a consortium application) represents an organization with key values similar to Voice’s objectives, namely equitable treatment and equal rights to Every human person, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religious belief, disability, sexual orientation, social status and age.
- The applicant or lead organization works with Voice’s target groups to build their capacity to lobby and advocate defending their interests and voicing their voices.
