Proposals are invited for Te Putea Whakamauru Para – the Waste Minimisation Fund to support projects that increase the reuse, recovery and recycling of materials.

The purpose of the Waste Minimisation Fund is to boost New Zealand’s performance in waste minimisation. There is considerable scope to reduce waste and increase the recovery of useful resources from waste.

The fund invests in a wide-range of projects from multi-million-dollar infrastructure investments to smaller hapu/community-centred projects.
