The Bureau of International Narcotics-Law Enforcement is seeking applications for West Bank Access to Justice Legal Aid Grant.

The mission of the State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) is to keep Americans safe by countering crime, illegal drugs, and instability abroad. The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) is at the forefront of responding to these challenges, uniting these overarching themes through their foreign assistance programs, diplomatic engagement, and policy coordination.

INL’s foreign assistance programs are essential to advancing U.S. policy objectives. INL programs advance the following strategic goals:

Priority Region/Countries: The West Bank.

Participants and Audiences: The intended beneficiaries of this project are Palestinian indigents, juveniles, and women who find themselves under criminal investigation, facing charges, or serving sentence and in need of qualified legal counsel. In addition, the targeted audience for this program includes the Palestinian public, as well as law enforcement, justice, judicial, and social institutions, all of which would benefit from an improved understanding and appreciation of an individual’s right to counsel and due process of law.
