The Westchester Community Foundation is seeking applications for its Grant Program to invest in high-performing organizations with transformative ideas that improve lives and strengthen community.

- The Foundation regards grant-making as an investment in the social good of community. It works with grantees to improve performance through ongoing assessment.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Foundation makes grants to tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations operating or proposing to operate programs for the benefit of Westchester residents and communities.
- Agencies with a pending 501(c)(3) application must use an approved organization as a fiscal agent.
- Where appropriate, the Foundation will fund local government entities, including school districts.
- All agencies must be vetted and approved prior to receiving a grant. The Foundation looks for good governance practices and organizations with a strong financial position.
- The Foundation does not make grants from its competitive grants program to:
- individuals
- endowment campaigns
- capital campaigns
- equipment purchases that are not intrinsic to the proposed project
- routine operating expenses
- deficit financing
- medical research
- religious activities
