The First Community Foundation Pertnership FCFP has launched Williamsport Lycoming Community Fund and is offering grant support through a variety of field of interest funds for Lycoming County.
Funding Information
Nonprofits who primarily serve the residents of Lycoming County may apply for a grant between $25,000 and $50,000 for something on their “wish list” – a piece of equipment, new or updated technology, a capital renovation, program enhancement expense, or costs associated with a new program initiative.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be qualified to receive tax-exempt contributions as defined by the IRS or operate under the fiscal sponsorship of an organization that does
- In the vast majority of cases, applicants will be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or a government entity
- Applicants must primarily serve residents in the Lycoming County area
- Applicants must apply with a minimum request of $25,000 and a maximum request of $50,000
Ineligible Requests
- Annual campaigns, endowments, general operating expenses – personnel, insurance, rent, utilities, office supplies
- Costs that were or will be incurred prior to the anticipated grant approval date
- Multi-year funding
- Operating or program deficits
- Re-granting, on a case-by-case basis
- Clubs, sports teams, or services limited to a select membership
- Loans, scholarships, fellowships, honorary awards, or travel grants
- Requests from individuals
- Religious organizations may only apply for programs or projects that benefit the community-at-large
- School Districts/School District Foundations may only apply if collaborating with one or more other Districts
- Cemeteries may only apply for maintenance, repair and restoration of monuments, headstones and grave marker of historical or architectural significance; or the preservation, maintenance, or beatification of areas open to and visible by the public Organizations with outstanding evaluations from previous Williamsport Lycoming Community Fund grants cannot apply.
