Women Increased Leadership for Resilient and Peaceful Societies Programme in Moldova

Women Increased Leadership for Resilient and Peaceful Societies Programme in Moldova

Deadline: 07-Oct-2024

The UN Women Moldova within the “Women Increased Leadership for Resilient and Peaceful Societies” Programme, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, intends to sign Partner Agreements (PAs) with civil society organizations from Moldova to ensure that women survivors of GBV and those at-risk have greater awareness and knowledge about their rights and increased access to qualified legal services.

UN Women aims to ensure that women survivors of GBV and those at-risk have greater awareness and knowledge about their rights and increased access to qualified legal services. Importantly and whenever possible, survivors should have a choice to either address a state or a non-state service providing organization – the one which inspires them more confidence and able to offer the immediate, unconditional and comprehensive assistance, tailored to their specific needs.

Civil society organizations (CSOs) are particularly well placed to complement governmental agencies’ efforts in addressing VAW, especially by assisting and protecting survivors of GBV, due to its long-standing experience in the field. Provided that qualified legal assistance services are offered to the victims of GBV, the justice agencies would be enabled to secure convictions/ensuring accountability for perpetrators, prevent future crimes and make the communities safer. Thus, UN Women Moldova Country Office is inviting CSOs, CSO networks or think tanks that have specialized knowledge, expertise, and track record in providing services to women survivors of GBV, to submit project proposals in this respect.
