Call for Applications: The EIT Circular Economy Community launches the Circular Economy Prize

UN Women has launched the Women’s Economic Empowerment in Egypt, a three-year programme funded by the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) that aims to expand and continue to support the TVET sector, building upon and scaling up the investments to date.

Women’s economic empowerment is central to realizing women’s rights and gender equality and includes women’s opportunities to participate equally in existing markets, their access to and control over productive resources, access to decent work access to support for their work in the home and increased meaningful participation in economic decision-making at all levels. Empowering women in the economy and closing gender gaps in the world of work are key to achieving the SDGs particularly Goal 5, to achieve gender equality, Goal 8, to promote full and productive employment and decent work for all, Goal 1 on ending poverty, Goal 2 on food security, Goal 3 on ensuring health and Goal 10 on reducing inequalities.
