Women’s Fund in Georgia is seeking applications for its grant competition “Women’s Rights and Environmental Justice”, which is financial support for the Global Alliance for Green and Gender Action (GAGGA).
Grant competition is to social and environmental justice and women’s non-governmental organizations working on women’s informal groups are encouraged, in their efforts to address women’s natural resources, to respond to social and environmental challenges, be it climate change, biodiversity, pollution, chemical safety oeba, waste management , women’s right to safe, clean and healthy environment, and so forth.
Project Topics
- Elaboration/lobbying of legislative initiatives on these issues
- Advocacy, planning and organizing strategic campaigns
- Introducing Gender-sensitive Approaches to Green Issues in Groups
- Study on green issues with women
- Increase the capacity of women’s organizations and groups working in the field of environmental justice
Grant Information
The grant amount is defined as EUR 2500 equivalent in GEL.
Duration
The duration of the projects is from 6 to 8 months.
Criteria
- Women’s Fund will support projects within the competition:
- Women carrying out
- whose direct and final beneficiaries are women
- The Women’s Fund will give priority to the initiatives of the organizations operating in the regions of Georgia, as well as the coalition projects of environmental and women’s organizations.
