The Women’s Fund of Weld County is seeking proposals for its grant program. It was founded in 1999 by women from the community dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls.
The Women’s Fund, a charitable fund of the Weld Community Foundation, was established with the purpose of creating a permanent fund to find, fund and nurture programs that address unmet needs of women and girls in Weld County to enable them to become self-confident, independent, contributing members of the community. Over the life of the fund, more than $340,000 has been awarded from The Women’s Fund to Weld County organizations.

- Any amount up to $5,000.00
Funding Focus
The funding focus is solely on programs that support girls and women of Weld County.
- girls’ futures; and
- girls’ and women’s education, employment, training, and self-development.
- the greatest impact on women/girls who will benefit from the grant
- alignment with the Women’s Fund Criteria
- the quality and need for the project.
Eligibility Criteria
- Projects that serve or are used by women and girls who reside in Weld County
- Collaborative partnerships
- Innovative approaches
- Endeavors which build upon existing resources or services
- Involvement of diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic groups
- Potential for additional financial resources and community support
- Long-term impact on individuals, or potential impact
- Specific, measurable goals and outcomes
- The movement towards being self-sustaining
Selection Process
- The Grants Committee will begin review of received grant applications beginning July 15. Clarification requests regarding applications will be emailed to applicants in August.
- They evaluate grant applications using many ratings, including our Funding Focus and Criteria (below). Please refer to these guidelines before writing and submitting your grant application to ascertain if your project is aligned with their guidelines.
The following are required items to apply for a grant from the Women’s Fund of Weld County:
- Grant Application – Available June 1 – August 31
- Project Budget worksheet (only this budget form will be accepted)
- Grant Evaluation Form (for current grantees who are reapplying)
- 501(c)(3) documentation or equivalent.
