WorldWise Global Schools (WWGS) is inviting schools and NGO’s in the post-primary sector in the Republic of Ireland to apply for funding for quality Development Education (Global Citizenship Education) activities/initiatives for the upcoming academic year.
WWGS was established in 2013 with a view to adopting a more integrated and programmatic approach that combines all DE support to post-primary schools under one programme.
Components
- Knowledge: factual information about local and global justice issues.
- Values & Attitudes: an appreciation of human interdependence; solidarity, empathy and a sense of respect towards self and others.
- Skills: critical thinking, reflection, problem solving, analysis,teamwork
- Action: to effect change for a more just and equal world
- Methodology: learner-centred and active methodologies
Funding Information
- Individual School: Starter (New) €600
- Individual School: Established €700 to €2,000
- School Cluster From €3,000 up to €8,000
Eligibility Criteria
Development Education (DE) grants are available to all post-primary schools in the Republic of Ireland.
