YHDO Request for Proposals: International Women Day

Youth Health and Development Organization (YHDO) has announced an open request for proposals (RFPs), seeking a qualified organization and institution to submit innovative approaches for organizing events for celebration of International Women day.

To better raise public awareness on women issues, strengthen partnerships and improve advocacy efforts, related to promoting women rights in Afghanistan, YHDO would like to provide small grants to community based organization and institutions for observing the Women International Day March 8, 2018.

The United Nations General Assembly has designated March 8 as the Women International Day and is celebrated on March 8th of each year. It is a day when women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political. The premise of the day is to raise awareness about women rights among the people; furthermore, one of the aims of the day is to get together and celebrate in cooperation to discuss and highlight the specific issues of the women.
