The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced a call for proposals for the provision of the Capacity building program for the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation to strengthen extension services in Pauktaw, Mrauk U, Ponnagyun and Rathedaung”.

UNDP’s area-based program in Rakhine has a strong emphasis on promoting livelihoods and social cohesion for all communities in Rakhine State.

To support the above interventions, UNDP is providing technical assistance to the MOALI, particularly Departments of Agriculture, Livestock Breeding and Veterinary, Fishery and Rural Development in strengthening extension services and their expansion to all communities in the project areas with a deliberate COVID-19 response and recovery lens. Through a participatory needs assessment, UNDP has identified key managerial and technical capacity building areas to be supported in the next period in line with community needs. To this end, UNDP is seeking a technical partner to design and implement a capacity-building program for the respective MOALI’s Departments while coordinating with Union level MOALI officials.
