Gwen Ifill Mentorship Program in the United States

Levi Lassen Foundation Inviting NGOs to support Women in Israel

Deadline: 15-Dec-21

The International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) is pleased to launch the third year of the Gwen Ifill Mentorship Program to address the lack of diversity and women in leadership positions across newsrooms in the United States. The program is named after their dear friend Gwen Ifill, an incredible role model and mentor.

The IWMF works to unleash the power of women journalists to transform the global news media. Their fellows and grantees — both freelance and staff journalists — become experts in reporting in underserved regions, generate must-read stories, align with top outlets, and bring critical issues affecting women and others to light.

They are the only organization that provides safety training, byline opportunities, and emergency support tailored to women journalists and photographers around the world.

IWMF is the only NGO that offers safety training, reporting trips, and byline opportunities, all tailored to female journalists — both established, and up-and-coming.
