ICFJ offering an Investigative Reporting Project for American Journalists

The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) is offering a new program for U.S.-based reporters, focused on reporting on issues that span the U.S.-Mexico border, including human rights violations, immigration, corruption and drug trafficking.

Journalists will be invited to submit investigative proposals on border issues during this program. ICFJ will provide either small reporting grants or fellowship funding (depending on reporters’ individual needs) to produce the proposed investigation. All project participants are expected to complete at least one investigative report throughout the duration of the program. ICFJ will provide editors for all projects and data visualization services (if necessary).

During this program, six U.S.-based reporters will work with ICFJ and the Border Center for Journalists and Bloggers (BCJB) and participate in the following activities:
