IWMF: Supporting New Alliances to End Violence Against Women in Politics and Media

Open Call: Feminist Events Dedicated to the National Day Against Domestic Violence

Deadline: 20-Sep-20

The National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) and the International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) are co-hosting a program: Supporting New Alliances to End Violence Against Women in Politics and Media, that will bring together women in politics and women in the media to combat violence against women in both of these sectors.

One of the most serious barriers to inclusive democracies and institutions is violence or threats of violence, that directly impact a woman’s ability to participate in politics and in the media. Violence against women in politics and the media includes all physical and online forms of aggression, harassment, coercion, and intimidation against women simply because they are women.
