Nomination Open for Canada’s Volunteer Awards

The European Union has launched its 2017 Prize for Journalism in Georgia that encourages professionalism and ethical conduct in Georgian journalism, by awarding yearly the best work in print, broadcast, online, and photo journalism.

The European Union Monitoring Mission awards a Special Prize for conflict-sensitive journalism contributing to confidence building and peace.

The rules of the EU Prize for Journalism have been inspired by the principles of the Georgian Charter of Journalistic Ethics and seek to encourage the professionalism and ethical conduct in Georgian Journalism.

Award Categories

Each applicant can submit only one entry to only one of the following Prize Categories:

Award Information

The winners of the first six categories will receive 1,250 Euros each. The winner of the EUMM Special Prize for Peace Journalism will receive a one month fellowship with the Institute of War and Peace Reporting in London.

All entries must be sent by post or hand-delivered to the Delegation of the European Union in Georgia.
