If you work on a full-time or freelance basis in an independent or state-owned media outlet in Central Asia: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. If you have your own media project. If you made a great reportage or wrote an interesting story. Then, you definitely need to participate in the Central Asian Journalism Competition MediaCAMP Award 2021.

The MediaCAMP Award journalism competition in Central Asia is held by Internews in Kazakhstan within the framework of the five-year Central Asian program MediaCAMP, supported by United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The goal is to encourage gifted journalists and independent content creators in Central Asia to cover events and phenomena of public importance. The competition promotes the development of the media environment, which makes it possible to be heard by a large number of different representatives of society in the region.

Criteria

You can submit to the competition material in any format and genre (in Russian and national languages – Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Tajik, Turkmen, Uzbek), published in an independent or state media in one of the countries from June 1, 2020 to May 20, 2021- th.
