Thomson Reuters Foundation is offering a training course on Reporting LGBTI + Rights for journalists.

In Ukraine, discriminatory laws and socio-cultural practices complicate homogeneous self-expression. + LGBT organization exists in a restrictive political and social environment, which in skladnyuye access of persons belonging to communities LGBT +, to social st infrastructure, search remedy for violations of human rights and usage ment opportunities were aimed s to spread the movement.

The intensive four-day workshop, which will be held in Kyiv, Ukraine, from Thursday 30 January to Sunday 2 February 2020, will help develop the skills of the LGBT + community leaders to fully cooperate with the media.

The seminar and participants will be shown how to structure a media strategy that will help encourage people to support their campaign and organization. Participants will learn how to develop a media strategy using a variety of tools, such as print, broadcast radio and social media.

At the same time 15 practicing media professionals will receive training on LGBT + rights reporting. On the last day of training , LGBT + activists and journalists will come together for a joint meeting.
