Deadline: 14-Jul-20
UNODC is pleased to invite NGOs, academics and private sector representatives from the Americas region to apply for the participation in the upcoming training on Stakeholder Engagement for the Implementation of the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime.
The overall objective of this online training is to develop the participants’ capacity to contribute to the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (UNTOC) and is Review Mechanism in accordance with Resolution 9/1 of the Conference of the Parties (COP), and to prepare them for constructive dialogue with government authorities and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
UNODC is committed to support Member States in the Review Mechanism and to prepare non-governmental actors for constructive and meaningful contribution during the review process.
This first training, which was planned to be held in the margins of the 14th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in Kyoto, Japan, had to be cancelled amid the covid-19 outbreak. This online training replaces it and will aim to:
