U.S. Embassy Kabul announces ‘Afghan Peace Leaders: Reconciliation Through Exchange’ Program

The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan is pleased to announce an open competition for eligible organizations to submit applications to carry out a program to familiarize provincial leaders from 34 provinces of Afghanistan with peace and reconciliation techniques, experiences, and methods.

This initiative aims to facilitate intra-Afghan peace talks and advance Afghanistan’s security, stability, and development through a comprehensive political settlement that incorporates Afghan constitutional provisions and peacebuilding roles for vulnerable communities.

The goal of this program is to strengthen Afghan community leaders’ ability to advance peace and reconciliation in their communities.

Eligible Applicants

Eligibility is open to all types of applicants except for individuals. Organizations may sub-award/contract with other entities, but only one entity may be the prime recipient of the award. When sub-awarding/contracting with other entities, the responsibilities of each entity must be clearly defined in the proposal.
