Call for Applications: APFSD Youth Forum 2026

Deadline: 03-Nov-2025

The APFSD Youth Forum is an opportunity for young people in all their diversity to engage in-person and online for the sustainable development goals (SDG) follow-up and review in Asia and the Pacific.

The APFSD Youth Forum 2026, organised by ARROW in collaboration with Youth LEAD and YPEER Asia-Pacific Center, brings together 400–500 young people aged 13–30 from across Asia and the Pacific to develop regional and national Youth Calls to Action.

Scheduled from 18–20 February 2026 in a hybrid format, the Forum will align with the 2026 High-level Political Forum (HLPF) in New York and focus on reviewing SDGs 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 13, and 17. With the theme “Transformative, equitable, innovative and coordinated actions for the 2030 Agenda and its SDGs for a sustainable future for all,” it aims to identify challenges, share best practices, and strengthen youth-led contributions toward achieving the 2030 Agenda.

The first day will focus on Climate, highlighting Goals 6, 7, and 13, while the second day will focus on Innovation and Sustainable Communities, covering Goals 9 and 11 with Goals 3, 5, and 17 serving as cross-cutting themes throughout all discussions.

Each main session will be followed by a youth-led session, designed and conducted by children and young people to showcase evidence-based, innovative approaches relevant to the SDGs under review. These sessions will include research, programs, projects, innovative methodologies, and advocacy outcomes aligned with the goals, provided they have already been implemented.

The Youth Sessions will emphasize capacity building through Data Driven Advocacy (DDA) for SDGs. Abstracts are invited for implemented projects and youth-led initiatives related to Goals 6, 7, 9, 11, and 13, intersecting with Goals 3, 5, and 17. Both research-based and on-ground initiatives are welcome, with children and young people encouraged to share their work and experiences.

Each submission must include a PDF file containing the abstract title, name and affiliation, introduction (rationale, objectives, and aligning SDGs in 100 words), methodology (100 words), and findings/outcome/implications (100 words).

While not all selected presenters may receive funding, some may participate on a self-funding basis. Preparatory resources by session organisers should be submitted three weeks before the Forum upon selection.

Abstracts must be submitted online through the provided Google form in English by November 3, 2025.
