Nominations are now open for the 2024 India Australia Business & Community Alliance (IABCA) Awards supported by Investment NSW to celebrate the India-Australia relationship whilst simultaneously contributing to its development.
Through the IABCA Awards, they invite you to share stories of bi-lateral success across social impact initiatives and trade & investment. Featuring twelve categories recognising excellence across the fields of science, research, innovation and the circular economy, IABCA presents a major opportunity to further strengthen the India- Australia relationship by acknowledging achievements on a global stage.

- Managing Director or Business Leader of the Year
- Community Services Excellence Award
- Businesswoman of the Year
- Australia India Impact Award
- Australia India Science, Research & Development Award
- Excellence in Trade & Investment
- Excellence in Partnerships
- Excellence in Innovation
- SME of the Year
- Lifetime Achievement of the Year (non-contested)
Awards Entry Process
- There are four components to an IABCA Award entry which are split across four tabs in the online nomination form.
- In total there are four tabs named Details, Award Criteria and Attachments.
- Details: In the details tab they request basic information about your business and key contact details
- Award Criteria: This is the core component of an IABCA nomination and what the judges will score. The Award Criteria for each category can be found in this document.
- Attachments: Here you will attach photos/images and a video to further support your entry.
Eligibility Criteria
- Individuals or organisations that work in the Australia India space and Australians with Indian Heritage including Australians based in India are eligible to nominate.
- Businesses and Not-for-profit based in Australia are eligible to nominate.
- Australian companies that export services or products to India are eligible to nominate.
- Indian investors in the Australian market are eligible to nominate.
- There are no fees associated with nominating individuals or businesses, the entire process is free.
- Organisations and Not-for-profits must have been operative for a minimum of twelve months.
- Nominations should include achievements and success stories for at least a 12-month period. The nomination should address each point of the award criteria to be eligible.
- Full-time or part-time employees of Gandhi Creations, members of the judging panel and members of the advisory board are not eligible to nominate for an award unless they are part of a non-contested category.
- IABCA Youth Ambassador program participants can nominate for IABCA as they are not privy to sensitive information.
- IABCA panel has the right to and will automatically disregard entries of businesses and individuals that have gone bankrupt or have provided incorrect information.
