Applications to the Procura+ Awards 2022 are now open in all four categories:
- Sustainable Procurement of the Year,
- Innovation Procurement of the year,
- Circular Procurement of the Year, and
- Procurement Initiative of the year.
The Procura+ Awards highlight sustainable, circular and innovation procurements and tender procedures and give visibility to the most dynamic, forward-looking and innovative public authorities and their initiatives.
The procured solutions will have a strong potential for replication and scaling up and will be an excellent showcase in using sustainable, circular and innovation procurement instruments to purchase cutting edge solutions.
The Procura+ Awards reward successful, already running, sustainable, circular and innovation public procurements. These procurements lead to significant improvements of public goods, services, processes and infrastructure.

Eligibility Criteria
- You represent a Contracting (Public or Semi-public) Authority.
- This particular procurement or initiative has not been a winner of the Procura+ Awards in a previous year.
- For applications relating to a specific procurement, tenders must have been awarded between 1 April 2020 and 31 March 2022.
Evaluation Criteria
The evaluation criteria for the independent jury are:
- The economic, environmental and social impact of the sustainable, circular and innovative procurement or initiative. Procurements will be assessed on their potential to address grand societal challenges more effectively and efficiently.
- To what degree the sustainable, circular and innovative procurement or initiative has contributed to achieving more efficient and effective public services.
- The extent to which the procurement or initiative encouraged and enabled the procurement of a sustainable, circular and innovative product or service.
- The extent to which different relevant stakeholders (e.g. end-users, market) were involved.
- The replicability of the procurement or initiative and the potential to be upscaled and used in a broader European context.
- The planned promotion of the lessons learned in the showcase. Plans to promote the lessons learned in the procurement or initiative will be judged based on the expected impact on public sustainable, circular and innovative procurement practice.
