The Hague Academy for Local Governance is currently inviting applicants for its 2020 Summercourse: Decentralization & the SDGs which will take place in The Hague from 29 June to 3 July 2020.

Decentralization is an instrument to achieve development. In this course, participants will learn how decentralization contributes to inclusive economic growth. The course will take into account the different challenges that governments face in a development context and focus on how donor involvement can encourage this process. How can the SDGs be translated into local policies?

Course Content

During this Summercourse from 29 June to 3 July 2020, participants will discuss how donor and development agencies can support a multilevel governance approach to deal with future development challenges. The course consists of several modules:

Participants who successfully finish the course will receive a professional certificate of completion from The Hague Academy for Local Governance.
