Deadline: 28-November-2025
The focus of the grant is on large scale events with genuine appeal to visitors beyond Northern Ireland, and which will generate significant tourism revenue and PR for the borough from visitors beyond Northern Ireland.
This funding opportunity is open to community or voluntary organisations operating on a not-for-profit basis. Applicants must not already hold a successful Medium Grant (CD or GR), Large Event Fund Grant, or International Tourism Event Fund Grant in the same year. In addition, the proposed event must demonstrate significance beyond Northern Ireland.
Funding covers essential event expenses such as equipment purchase (up to £500) or hire, printing costs, materials, insurance, programme facilitation, toilets, and road closure costs. The maximum available funding under this scheme is up to £15,000.
To be eligible, applicants are required to submit supporting documentation including the organisation’s Health and Safety Policy, a risk assessment, a marketing plan for the event, a draft programme, and a detailed event plan. The previous year’s event plan may be accepted if relevant. Applications submitted without these supporting documents will be deemed ineligible. Sample templates for event, marketing, and risk assessment plans are available upon request from the grants team.
