Nominations are now open for the Everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards, the 16th year award celebrate the vital contribution women make to transport and logistics showcasing progression, accomplishments and increasing avenues of opportunity within a traditionally male-dominated industry.
Women still only account for 20% of the 1.7 million people working in transport and logistics. Research shows that diverse teams are better positioned to unlock innovation and drive growth. The everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards play an important role in highlighting success stories, shifting perceptions and creating role models to inspire future female talent.
Categories
- There will be two winners per category (Leader and Above and Beyond) as well as one recipient of the Industry Champion, Male Agent of Change, Apprentice of the Year, Woman of the Year Award and a brand new category for Sustainability Champion.
- Above and Beyond – Celebrates a woman that has truly gone above and beyond her role to help drive the organisation’s success. This is awarded to a woman at any stage of her career, in recognition of her commitment to going the ‘extra mile’.
- Leader – Celebrates a woman operating in a senior role within her organisation. She will be making a significant contribution to the strategic direction of the business.
- The Freight Award: Awarded to two women exemplifying the excellence, drive and innovation of women across the freight subsector
- The Customer / Passenger Award: Awarded to two women whose commitment to the highest standards of customer or passenger service led to outstanding business results
- The Infrastructure Award – Sponsored by IAG Cargo: Awarded to two women who are demonstrating outstanding achievements within infrastructure
- The Supply Chain Award – Sponsored by Unipart Rail: Awarded to two women who show exceptional talent and drive within the supply chain system
- The Warehousing Award: Awarded to two women excelling in their role within a warehousing environment
- Industry Champion Award: Awarded to a female pioneer whose longstanding and continuous support of women in transport and logistics has led to impactful and measurable change
- Male Agent of Change – Sponsored by Mott MacDonald: Awarded to a male role model who is actively committed to encouraging, advancing, sponsoring, or championing the progress of women in transport and logistics in his organisation and beyond

- The Tech Innovator Award: Awarded to a woman designing, developing, researching, implementing or being exceptionally creative with technology within the industry
- International Inspiration Award: Awarded to an exceptional role model working outside of the UK & Ireland who inspires women and men in their community
- Sustainability Champion Award: Awarded to a woman or female-led team making an exemplary contribution to sustainability and environmental protection within a transport or logistics company

Eligibility Criteria
- The everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards are for those who possess the qualities, attitude, hard work ethic and commitment to supporting other women that makes them a credit to the industry and they organisations they work for. They are the talented women who have exceeded expectations as well as inspired success in others.
- The awards are open to women at all stages of their career.
- Entrants can either nominate themselves or be nominated by someone else, they can enter a maximum of two categories and must:
- Work within a transport and logistics based role
- Be based or have their chief operations in the UK or Ireland (excluding the International Inspiration Award)
- Be available for a judging day in April 2023 and the awards ceremony in June 2023
Judging Criteria
- All successful entrants will be contacted by the last week of March 2023 if required to attend Judging Day in April 2023. If selected, the Awards ceremony in London is in June 2023. This is a condition of entry.
- There will be two winners per category (Leader and Above and Beyond) as well as one recipient of the Industry Champion, Male Agent of Change, Apprentice of the Year and Woman of the Year Award.
- All decisions regarding the judging process are made by their independent judging panel. The everywoman team do not influence this process.
- The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into before or after the judging.
- Due to the large number of nominations received, the judging panel are unable to provide individual feedback.
