UNDP: Call to Civil Society Organizations of Women Girls Promoting New Masculinities (EL Salvador)

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced a call to Civil Society Organizations / Human Rights Defender’s Organizations of Women Girls Promoting New Masculinities, for the presentation of proposals oriented to the strengthening of essential services, San and San Marin, San Marin Care of women and girls in a situation of gender-based violence.

Gender equality, the elimination of violence against women and girls are a crucial component for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) contained in the 2030 Agenda in general and in SDG No. 5 in particular. In order to join efforts to do so, the European Union (EU) and the United Nations (UN) implement a global, multi-annual program called the ‘Spotlight Initiative’ (IS) that seeks to eliminate all forms of violence against women and las nirlas (VCMN). The Spotlight Initiative is a joint program that combines the strengths of the agencies, funds, and programs of the United Nations System and that seeks to implement a new way of working to achieve the SDGs.

To guarantee that all women and children live a life free of violence and reduce femicide, an intervention strategy was defined in diverse and interconnected aspects organized in six pillars:
